The Key Difference Between Pipe and Tube

What is Tube?

The term TUBE refers to hollow round, square, rectangular, and oval sections used in pressure equipment, mechanical applications, and instrumentation systems. Tubes are labelled with their outer diameter and wall thickness, both in inches and millimeters.

Sagar Steel Corporation is one of the most leading Pipe and Tube Manufacturers in Mumbai, India. We are an ISO 9001:2008 certified company with existence in the Metal Market since 2003. Our products are designed and developed in accordance with international quality standards and national quality standards. Our available qualitative range of Pipes and Tubes are exclusively designed for several piping applications. Sagar Steel Corporation specializes in offering both seamless as well as welded Pipes and Tubes made from Stainless steel, carbon steel, and various other alloys.

What is Pipe?

Pipe is a hollow section with a round cross section used to distribute goods. Fluids, gas, pellets, powders, and other materials are among the items available. The outer diameter (OD) and wall thickness are the most important dimensions for a pipe (WT). The inside diameter (ID) of a pipe is determined by OD minus 2 times WT (SCHEDULE), which determines the pipe’s liquid capacity.
